Kokatat is completely outfitting our trip for the wind and waves with their women's paddling line consisting of the following items: Women's Gore-Tex Paclite Anorak Jackets, Women's Gore-Tex Paclite Pants, Gore-Tex XCR Action Jackets, Women's Destination Paddling Pants, Mediumweight Hand Jackets and MisFit Tour PFDs

We are thrilled to be working with many of the same companies that sponsored our 2005 expedition. We were fully impressed by the performace and quality of the gear and food that we acquired and are the strongest advocates of these companies--taking the same equipment on a second expedition should be proof enough!

As in 2005, Cooke Custom Sewing is providing us with several large gear items that are crucial to the safety and sanity of our trip. These include two O'Hara Style Canoe Covers, a Lean Shelter and a Tundra Tarp. We will also be taking the five canoe packs and the ever-essential Screen Tent CCS donated in 2005.

Through white and flat water alike, Mitchell Paddles will be supporting our stroke the whole way to the Arctic with their beautifully crafted, Olympic-quality blades. They are generously outfitting us with both their Premier carbon/wood whitewater paddles and their Leader bent shaft paddles for all those half-frozen lakes.

We are psyched to begin our relationship with Isis, a fantastic, all-women's outdoor clothing line. They are providing our trip with some very Arctic-worthy insulation, including their Whisper Hoodie Jacket/Vest, the Nyx Hoodie, the Nanda Devi Pant and their Wool Tights. No doubt we'll be the brightest, coziest creatures on the tundra this summer.

Sierra Designs is supplying our expedition with several central gear pieces including their Stretch Dome Tent, Stretch Tiros Tent, -20 degree Electra Sleeping Bags, Chockstone Jackets, Ember Pullovers, Ember Pants and Drizone Packable Mitts. We feel totally confident that no matter what the elements throw at us we'll be warm and dry at the end of the day in Sierra Designs.

Wigwam is taking care of our feet again this summer (no easy task!) with a generous supply of Merino Wool Rugged Hiker socks. We wore six pairs a piece in 2005 and they stood up to day after day of portaging across the tundra and dragging over frozen lakes without at hitch.

Zeal Optics is graciously providing our expedition with sunglasses from their women's line of durable frames and patented ZB-13 POLARIZED lenses. We rely on sunglasses that can provide both shade from the ice/water reflection and visibility when paddling whitewater--that's why we're taking Zeal.

We're happy to say that Backcountry.com is fully on board with the BPE this summer! They are providing both Women's Cairn Fleece Jackets and Women's Merino Crew Long Sleeve to keep us warm and comfortable. We will also be distributing discount vouchers for all kinds of Backcountry.com goodies at our slide shows following the expedition.

Emergency Preparedness Systems LLC is once again providing a unique service to our trip with a pre-expedition review of FAK supplies, medications and medical/trauma emergencies in the field. They will also serve as our phone support for medical and logistical emergencies during the expedition.

Bob's Red Mill is once again keeping our stomachs happy this summer with an incredible line up of their high quality and organic products including most of our grains, flours, dried legumes, nuts and desserts. They're a perfect sponsor to tend to our gluten-free menu (Meg is allergic). We love to test out the recipes on the side of the packages in the backcountry--you can't ever go wrong with Bob's!

Granola every day as far as we're concerned! We are increasing our ration of granola from 2005's menu because it was that good. 1-800-GRANOLA.com will be supplying the trip with 75lbs. of organic, wheat-free, delicious varieties of their homemade granolas. It's the perfect supplement of energy, nutrients and flavor needed to start each day.

We hardly feel like we're roughin' it when we wake up to mangos in our oatmeal and the carrots in our soup taste like, well, carrots. Just Tomatoes, etc! is sponsoring our trip with almost 40 lbs. of freeze dried fruits and veggies. What a difference they make to our menu!

Bring on the Sausage! Usinger's was a huge main-stay of our 2005 expedition diet and we will happily portage pounds of this Wisconsin-based sausage across the tundra again this summer.

Like Manito-wish, Vermont's Cabot Creamery Cooperative is also celebrating 90 years of excellence, but in their farmer-owned, all-natural cheese-making. We are thrilled to help celebrate by adding 28lbs. of Cabot's highest quality, wonderfully aged cheeses to our menu.

LUNAbar is all about encouraging women to pursue a nutritious, active and balanced lifestyle. We are delighted to support their mission and be supported by another summer of their products--including original Luna bars, Luna Tea Cakes and Luna Sunrise Bars.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, the official coffee of the great state of Vermont, knows full well that the Borealis women don't operate unless fully caffinated by strong, rich java, each day, every day...no exceptions. They are graciously supplying us with 12 lbs of their best brews.

Superior Nut Company, a local company of Cambridge, MA is another supporter of the BPE with both a rich history and strong environmental and social commitments. We're excited to say we'll be consuming 30lbs of peanut butter from a company that's been perfecting their recipes for almost 100 years.
